Dedicated volunteers have been the cornerstone of Youth Law, offering valuable skills, insight and knowledge. It is thanks to the efforts of a small group of dedicated volunteers that the organization was first established in 2002.
Some ways volunteers contribute include:
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our active Board of Directors oversees the governance of the organization but they also act as a working board in support of direct programming. Our Board of Directors meets one evening a month at our office.
We maintains several active committees that help drive the organization forward.
LEGAL RESEARCH SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES
We often seek volunteers with legal training to provide research support.
DIRECT SERVICE VOLUNTEER LAWYERS
We often rely on lawyers who are interested in volunteering to represent young people in civil law matters. We provide training and support to volunteer lawyers.
WEBSITE Q & A LAWYER PROGRAM
We often need law students and lawyers who are interested in volunteering their time to answer questions received from young people through our website.
